I love widescreen for movies but a laptop is a multi purpose tool ie. gaming, editing documents etc so personally I would go with SXGA over WXGA.

I had the 2500A for my desktop and now the 6500A for laptop, good quality burners for the price. I seem to be having the same problem as everyone though where I can only burn at 6X instead of 8X, hopefully problem will be fixed soon....
I just got one too for my Inspiron 1150 and works pretty well so far. G-Omaha, do you know then if the problem is just with the media? Im using TDK DVD-R with latest version of Nero and I can only burn at 6X.
I know what you guys mean about the switch, I had a old Toshiba laptop that had that. Odd though the Inspiron 1150 does not, I dont think its in the catch either cause before the latch even touches it, the screen goes off in Windows XP....
