I too am interested in this thread. Any response anyone has would help me out greatly.

I pre-ordered mine from ISTNC back in May. Mine has had the battery problem for a little bit but I haven't had time. I got the RMA number and I am just waiting to get back home from business travels so I can mail it in.

I am looking for a replacement screen for a Inspirion 4150. The previous screen (Hitachi TX36D58VC1CAA) UXGA. Anyone have any suggestion on where to get one or if you have one for sale, please do contact me.

I have the buzzing wether or not the laptop is plugged in. It more noticable when in Linux.

No it isn't a standard Z71V feature as mine does not do that. Also there isn't a alarm time in the bios either. As for the problem itself, good luck.
