ok, well unless wisefish comes up with something extreme, i think i have decided on a setup. ill use the duo as a soundcard (primary). ill run the outs to a pair of 20/20bas. midi controllers, etc. with sonar sx.

anyone want to recommend some decent monitors with a flat response? im gonna use them for everything - the duo (if thats what i end up with) will just act as my primary sound card - so they need to be pretty decent. powered is a plus...
