S705 has excellent sound for a notebook as well. First one in a long time I didn't feel the need to go right to headphones.

nvidia paid for that, it has nothing to do with how well doom3 will run on either platform. do you know anybody who would buy doom3 and wouldn't buy halflife2? I don't, and anybody who buys both knows that ati is the best option.

the only place nvidia really gets killed when comparing with ATI is with either a) a true dx9 title, or b) highest rez, all features turned on. the dx9 was a big sticking point, back before we got split into an alternate...
