the question is not battery life... it is that the battery simply does not supply enough power to the laptop at any given time (ie. it is the bottleneck).
It's not a Dell, but may give you some ideas of what to expect from Dell when they release their 19" laptop. Samsung just released the M70 - a 19" laptop with a DETACHABLE screen which has a response time of 10...
people with the Sager 8790 a while back tried gaming with the battery and it fried the battery... it had to be replaced.
