I've also got that problem.. but it only happens when I use the remote. After I stop using it.. it keeps making a weird beeping noise..If i keep the IR reception on, the sound will go off. That sound should've been fixed in the 2.01...

the compaq and hp 14" widescreen models dont have dedicated graphics, and they're heavier too ^^

v07 is the september '04 manufactured ones. Its p-m 725/40gb... v03 is 735/60gb and v02 is the one with bluetooth

Installed Fedora core 3 in this laptop and its working great. Display and sound needed some fiddling around with. The only problem is I can only get one USB port working (the left one).

Has anyone tried to install linux on this laptop yet? I'm planning to when i recieve mine *still waiting >.<*. But i've read on some forums that they've run into trouble and Benq doesnt assist since it doesnt support Linux.

Thanks for the info! I went and ordered mine at Retravision today for $2400 Cant wait till it arrives hehe. I actually prefer the shiny look with the protective cover lol. Looks nicer.
