I swaped to the merom the day I got the laptop so I didn't get to see what it was before. I watched movies off my hard dirve on a plane ride with low screen brightness the 6 cell lasted 2 and a half hours.

Its pretty simple, pop the hinge cover off, take the wires off the wifi card unscrew the LCD remove that. Take out all the screws from the bottom and under the keyboard seperate the pam rest from the case. 4 screws on the CPU heatsink...

I have the 2ghz Merom in my M1210, works great. I am using A01 bios but I have been told if you flash to A02 before swaping chips that works too. Heat has never been an issue, idles at 28c never seems to go over like 50c under load.

Well the first bios supports Merom chips. I'm sort of scared to upgrade I think on some of the other systems the newer bios have made Merom ES chips not work.

Well i'd say its possible at 640 x 480, that is such a low resolution. It plays great on mine at 1200 x 800 Medium.
