Okay I did 2 things and the problem seems fixed. 1. unchecked 802.1x authentication on network checkbox in settings 2. Disabled Norton firewall. Finally no more freezeups after months of problems.

Has happened about 15 times tonight requiring that I push the on/off button to reboot. NO blue screen though. Locks up while I am gaming after about 1 hr. Tried elevating the laptop with no help. Funny but the same thing was happening...

check www.widescreengamingforum.com they have great info about games that support widescreen or how to make them support it. I had to simply edit the cfg file in mohaa and presto! Doesn't look stretched at all.

Run MOHAA at 1440 x 900 and it freaking rocks. Beautiful screen. Iron Lung have you seen games run at this resolution??? You won't regret buying this laptop.

YES you can return it as long as you are in the first 30 days (from ship date I believe) as I just returned my 5680 for video problems. If your happy with it and can live with it then I'd keep it. It takes up to 2 weeks to get a credit...

85% ship with only 1 or less dead pixels...so your chances are pretty good you'll get a good screen...
