Curiously, I took a look at mine and I have the other cable (the thin black one) plugged into my WiFi card. Are there really 2 WiFi antenna's? If so, I'm gonna hook mine other one up and see if I get a better signal.

Also try going into the BIOS (press DEL when you see the Centrino Logo), go to the save/exit menu and choose the load optimal defaults. I had mine get into that state after a suspend and this fixed it.
