Yeah - same here. I think it has to do with the type of sensor on the card. I use getthermal to monitor my GPU temp because I have not found any other app that reads the temp on a generation 1 Go6800

If the motherboard has to be replaced you are looking at almost 50% cost of a new system. I have the generation 1 7700's and had this confirmed by AW. Things may have changed but when I asked around 3 or 4 months ago this was the case....

Yes I have gethermal - I use it to monitor temps mainly and occasionally set fans to max for a short while. I like it because - it shows GPU and CPU temps - you can set fans to any % of maximum , not just 100% as per the Fn keys Olli

The fans can be set on high using a keystroke combination (Fn + one of the F keys .. don't remember which sorry) but you need a certain BIOS level to do that. I would check the AW BIOS updates page which will tell you what version you...
