I agree mine works great as well, I'm also glad I picked up 1 gig of memory with it, with just my normal program installations (and taking the bloatware off and leaving my startup light), I'm using 512 of the memory with Outlook, Firefox...

Might try to find a deal for a Inspiron E1505 with a 2 or 3 year warranty for 1k. You will probably need to track down a coupon deal to boost the specs a little bit.
