A friend has this laptop with the default 256MB of memory. Can he put a 1GB stick in the free slot and end up with 1.25GB? Or does he just need to ditch the 256 and get a couple 512's? Thanks, -Doc

The problem with having the screensaver is that it runs whether or not your LCD is on. That's why I don't run one, or I run "Blank Screen" or some other plain one. -Doc

If you do your research, it's an educated and calculated risk. I get more out of my games, and my temps are well below what nVidia specs the chip at. That seems like a good return for very little risk to me. -Doc
