3DMark 2001 is not a good benchmark for modern GPUs because it doesn't take a lot of things into account. I'm not sure why the reviewers chose to use it as their benchmark.
Dell does not expect all or even most of it's customers to run their laptop at 1920x1200. On a 17" screen that is not at all good for your eyes.
Or you could lie and enter through a college's webpage.
The 1920x1200 resolution isn't mandatory. It's still possible to switch screen resolutions by changing it in display properties. The WUXGA just has the same resolutions as desktops.
I'm not sure where you guys find these incredible ram deals. If I want 1GB of ram, Dell will give me 2 512's for 200$, but then that's 35% off, so make that 125$. On newegg one stick of laptop 512MB DDR2 ram is 125$, so I don't see...
The college I'm attending has a gateway to Dell that gives you the ID of that school.

The coupon was 1200$ off with my setup. I think you are configuring it terribly wrong or not in small business.
I think I'll stick with EPP because it offers 4 year protection with complete care coverage (my parents are worried about my laptop getting fubar'd my senior year.)
