Was toying around and figured out this. 1= at bottom right, there should be an icon that says sound effect when you right click on it. Go to it, do that, and click Multimedia. It should bring you to Sound and Audio Device...

Yeah same. Mine is having same problem and I did the fix you mentioned exactly as stated as well.
It cut off again and kept doing more frequently... BUT, I think I fixed it just now. I went in to the administrative tools and disabled the Wireless Zero Configuration thingy and changed my max connections in the tcpip.sys or whater...

I managed to find a newer driver REALTEK Driver Release Date: 03/04/2005 Driver Version: 5.621.0304.2005 I'm going to test it, and if it works better I'll post it here.
Has anyone managed to stop the problem of wireless connections suddenly dropping and not being able to be picked back up?

Have you installed anything recently, dropped it, placed anything heavy on the keyboard by accident, or ANYTHING that could do anything at all? In short, what have you done within the last week before it started messing up.
