i'm not sure if it will install on your notebook model, but i was able to install Mac OSX on my Acer 5672.
check out this thread by KinzaKracker, and this guide by dilnalomo.
you'll be surprised as to how easy it is.
i use the Heys ePac Style #5. It's light, very well padded, enough pockets, and laptop is on a separate compartment which opens on the side.
i would have liked the Ogio Metro Black/Black Petrol, which is also good.
finally... was able to free up some time over the weekend. installed OS X (10.4.6) on my 5672. the install was pretty straight forward and all went well. wan, lan, and other devices dont work though. thnx Kinza for the link.

The hidden partition, together with the restore disk, is needed if you want to restore your laptop to its default configuration. It doesn't have the playback feature you mentioned. Without this partition, there is no way to restore to...
Formatted my 5672 (one partition), and installed XP Media Centre. Everything works fine. Didn't install any Acer eWhatever programs except the Launch Manager. The only thing I'm missing from the default install is the acer screen...
