My 1.8 gets exactly 5 hours on a battery with wireless on and full brightness. I also have the 65 watt batteries. Its nice to know that I can go 10 hours on battery.

Go to programs, then Intel I believe, then go to the PROset/WIRELESS icon. Open that, then hit enable. That is how you connect to wireless networks on the 700m. It confused the hell out of me when I first got it too. I think...
