I used to play a real lot of HL. Sometimes for 10 or more hours straight. Only problem I get is very dry eyes from trying not to blink. And maybe increased heart rate and blood pressure due to the pressures of battle.
It's all what your used to. 1920x1200 @ 96dpi looks big compared to my Axim X50v with a 3.7" screen at 640x480. On the other extreme, I've seen people run 22" monitors at 800x600. Icons look over an inch tall.

I use my 9300 with my 1DMkII and D60. It works just fine. I shoot only in RAW and the file conversion times are acceptable.
Totally agree about the addiction. I've calmed down a bit but it was hard in the beginning.
I have a BT GPS from RoyalTek that works great. I don't use it with my 9300 though. Only with my Dell Axim X50v. I got the OnCourse Navigator 4 software and like it a lot.
