So has anyone successfully done a pinmod on the 1032 or 1022? If so, How did you go about it
I know... but the PM's come in 1mb cache and 2mb cache... correct? or am i confusing them
Yea... you can wire it up if you take it all apart without getting a new mobo, but i was just saying that he shoudl be very careful because it's a hassle to fix
Is there a noticable difference between pinmodding a chip w/ 1mb cache or 2mb? If so, would a 1.7 1mb or a 1.6 2mb be faster??
Yea, me and my sister both had HPs with this problem... it means the connection between the AC adapter and the Motherboard is getting loosened... if it completely breaks, you need a new mobo... soo i'd be very careful with it... ive seen...
ebay has a ton of them... you can get them for about 30 shipped.... every asus retailer charges about 35-40 for an intel card... so i'd just get the lappy w/o the card and put one from ebay in it...
anyone else comment on the long term effects of the pin mod?... also does everyone think the 1.5 should work w/o trouble?
if you are wanting to get that dell... it'll be cheaper if you dont buy the 2 gigs of memory through dell.... they charge something like 450 dollars and you can buy it yourself for about 200... just a thought
I'm getting a new wireless card for my lappy. I can get an Atheros for about 24 bucks, or an Intel for about 20, i've heard range with Atheros is better and fewer dropped signals.... can anyone comment?
For everyone who pinmodded the 400mhz P-M have there been any adverse effects after a few months or so of use? I'm looking to pinmod a 1.5 to 2.0 in a z70va, does anyone see any problems with that? From what i understand the success...
