Wow thank you for the link! I'm going to try that tonight. Unfortunetly the laptop is no longer under warranty as I've had it since I think March of last year.

Well I went to go power on my Gateway 7422GX this morning and it doesn't do anything. Immediately I notice that the power button feels awkward when I push it. It doesn't push down as far as it used to. It was plugged in so I'm sure...
My Gateway 7422GX battery has 57% wear after just over a year! See thread below.
How do I determine if I running at full speed while on battery? I checked MobileMeter and it says my battery wear is at 57%! I don't run my laptop on battery that often to be honest, I can't understand why it would wear out so fast.
