I got a 8890 with the Catalyst 4.11 and the latest BIOS update, no overlay problems or any other problems at all.

In many video players you have the option NOT to use overlay, although this will create unnecesary extra CPU usage. The problem will still be there though, you won't be able to use overlays cause they are still broken.

Also I have a 2 cables from the installed antenna in the 8890 one is hooked to the WiFi and the other one is not hooked to anything, I am guessing this one goes to the bluetooth?
