Wow. You know what, who cares whether it's officially supported or not. I just modded the normal 5.6 drivers and ended up with a 3dmark05 score of 2603. Yes, that's right, 2603. I am very impressed. Hopefully it only gets better!!

Doesn't work, thanks though. I still get the same message: at the 1 of 3 update screen, it tells me the new drivers are not compatible with my system. My laptop is an Acer TM8104, which clearly has an x700.
