@icZr I have the CDRW/DVD and noticed the same thing. The drive is very sensive and when I cleaned the problem CD's it seemed to work. Post or PM me if the problems goes away with the replacement.

Reloading made major improvements for performance for me! Dell puts a lot of crap on that if you are newbie PC owner is okay, but if you are a computer geek like most of us, it's a burden and is just too much overhead!
