If you have the revision mobo that I have then they won't be sending you an upgrade video card. You'll need the new revision mobo/PSU for that.

I get no beeps, nada, nit, nothing. It never even tries to start the POST. I do notice, though, that both the CPU and GPU heat up which will cause the fans to come on eventually, all drives are getting power and the CD player deal...

Omagian, did you order the AC adapter (power supply brick) with it? is it the 200w (or 220w or whatever)? Also, you didn't happen to do a write-up on the tear down procedure for the laptop did you? LOL. Or did you find a write-up...
