OK, I know it's fairly ancient, but on the way to upgrading I want to buy an LCD monitor and maybe a USB hub. I have looked on the IBM site, but can't find how to tell if I have USB 1.1 or 2.0. How do I find out? Model number is 2628...

It'll cost me about $300. to do the upgrade, obviously more to buy a new laptop. What do you think? I am pretty happy with it otherwise. IBM replaced a bad HD about a year and a half ago for free.

My Thinkpad has stopped being able to draw power from my 2531 IBM docking station (the other ports work and it can draw power from an AC source). How do I tell whether it's a problem with the laptop or the docking station?
