don't get wuxga on a 15" notebook. you will lose your eyesight. wuxga on 17" gives you generous real estate but if you are going to be working on word documents all day your eyes will start to bleed. internet explorer is...
the higher the resolution the more taxing it is on the graphics card for gaming. and wuxga is overkill on a 17" scale as the genera; fonts are too damn small. wish alienware offered wsxga glossy screen instead.
is that some paint fade on the left palmrest? maybe arima can sell you the wsxga screen? hmmm.
just purchase it from another vendor and instal it yourself.
the 7950's are rated at 45w.

you will not need to update your power brick. the 8800m is rated at 35w just like the 8700m.
