All of the things you mentioned are clearly laid out in the purchase agreement. They have the right to replace parts with refurbs if they choose. And so you're out of warranty...Imagine if I'm a guy who is IN warranty and I cannot...

I'd check out the Area51 m5500. Inexpensive and uses an MXM2 module which is upgradeable once Nvidia comes out with the 7XXX series modules.
