my 1405 w/ 3945 has been doing this a lot lately as well.
same thing happens to me on my university network I have an e1405 with 3945
just goes to show you, don't help your friends because they won't appreciate it.
compare prices and options. Which ever one you can get more for less go with it. I got a great deal on a loaded 1405 from the dell outlet, check that out and you'll probably end up going with dell.

5 hours is about all you can hope fore with most laptops, you'll want to buy and extra battery or external battery setup if you want to go over 5 hours.
I'm with budacris, at UNLV I can get like an 8% discount on a 1600 or more laptop but I have to buy a 4 year service plan. For the 8% you save, you spend 25% more, if you know what I mean.
