If you choose to get the X300, forget the 9300 and get another laptop with a better display.
Sowelu-- I agree with your summary completely--- I'm forcing myself to keep this 9300 (5th one) because I'm sick of this game I feel Dell is forcing me to play. I'd rather have a Samsung with little to no leakage than an LG with little...
You guys suck! hehe Yes, I'm jealous.
No. I haven't tried anything to try and fix it yet. I'm still trying to decide if I should keep this---The light leakage is annoying...
If you want a close to perfect screen---try Fujitsu. Unfortunately, they don't offer the components that Dell does and Dell doesn't offer a really good screen like Fujitsu has. Isn't it a lovely world.
The 4 Samsungs I've had sucked. Major leakage. The last 2 were/are LG's. 1 LG has really bad leakage and the other has leakage that's almost tolerable. The whites on the Samsungs were better and the sparkling is worse on the LG's....
hehe. Actually I did try that when I got my first 9300. I tried just about everything to avoid having to get an exchange. Obviously it didn't work.
I'm just worried about the quality of the screen for graphics work. Are the sparkly issues not as bad as the 9300 sparkly problems?
Mine consistently does that when I try to adjust the screen brightness while in Unreal 2. (Testing for leakage--yes it's viewable )
Hmmm. Return my leaky 9300 and get the Asus? Decisions...
