As a dev I think it would be great if you could test under multiple screen res and card config. To me, thats SLI that can be disabled, clocked up and down and high native res leaving you to lower it for other testing.

If you mean BF2 from "those days" there are single player options and enhancements... AND mods you can do for mass single player. The original setup/maps would not allow you to play single player on full sized maps.
