Anyone interested in how most Dell notebooks are assembled should refer to the following article. The whole system is really a work of art! http://www.guardian.co.uk/online/sto...464876,00.html

There are none for sale yet via retail channels. It will probably be another 3 months before they become widely available. However, be prepared to pay big bux for it!
I would probably buy a 19" notebook if it got thinner. The chances are that it might since there will be enough room sideways to spread stuff around. How about something 1.2" thick and weighing in at 8.5 pounds?
Hey...anyone realize that these new 7200rpm drives are made by Hitachi and not Seagate? Here is the article: http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/sit...viewID=content
OK, found the article! The new 7200rpm drives are inded made by Hitachi. http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/sit...viewID=content
Where did you read that the 100GB 7.2K drive is a Hitachi and not a Seagate?
Why not just put it on aq credit card with a slightly lower APR?
The APR with DPA is dependent on credit history. It can be as low as 9.9% and as high as 26.9%. The only way to find out is on your monthly statement. I think mine is currently 12.9%.
Does he really plan on keeping the computer for at least 4 years? I wouldn't but that long of a warantee if I'm not absolutely sure how long I want to keep the computer. 2 to 3 years should be fine.
