Perhaps you are very fragmented, or your swap file is fragmented and quite large due to the lower memory quantity. That should be a fairly fast drive, in fact, for a 5400rpm drive with 8mb, it should be faster than mine.

Re: video. You are right, this card has 128mb of video memory....not sure where that info is coming from. Here is the complete video report. There is no shared memory on this card.....very weird. Graphics Display adapter type...
