One thing to think about, if you are doing the full backup, you can't restore part of it. My 9860 died and is beyond economical repair and it didn't make sense to restore the full backup to a totally different spec new machine. ...
Are you sure you downloaded the right drivers? Go to http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True And get the Vista Beta drivers. Worked fine for me on a 9860 which uses the ALC880.
