I wasn’t trying to contradict, just adding my observation from my use. I would have gotten black if it was available when I bought mine, but that would have just been my personal preference, not because of any problems with white.

Unless you only touch it with freshly washed hands the white seems to pick up stains fairly quickly and some are a pain to get off if not attended to right away. Although I don’t have a current generation iPod so I don’t know...
