I am confused, I have never seen my 5670 with support of coaxial. All I see in my notebook is a red powered port, which is the optical S/PDIF out. My friend has a 5680 and has the same port as well. I think you may be confused?

Because you probably have a 56xx series notebook or a 47xx, which do not have that setting in the Bios, because the Spdif for them are optical, not coaxial.
