Well, she probrably said that since they don't recommend it, since it will void the warranty, etc etc etc. But I'm pretty sure its possible, as long as ASUS releases an updated Merom BIOs for it.
Another way of thinking is that, ASUS sells notebooks/laptops not for business, their profit margin compared to, lets say, Dell, or Acer, etc. is nothing. ASUS, as Djembe mentioned is an ODM, they make notebooks for Dell, HP, Sony, etc....
I'm pretty sure its soldered, pretty much all ASUS laptops have soldered on GPU's(The Z81sp, Z71v were exceptions?)
Nope, and the MXM/AXIOM standard is pretty limited, it was hyped up for a while, but it has kinda died down since..
Nope, usually ASUS ENSEMBLE's will never drop in price, unless there is a rebate. To make up for processor drop costs, they up the RAM/HD/Processor and the price stays the same.
Porbrably some UK site, sorry I don't know of any. Google may help though
Most likely no, unless you import it.
Since the machine has been configured, the warrantee is voided so they won't even look at the machine twice. You have to send it back to P1 to get the BT chip installed.
Try geared2play for a local NY store, they are located there, Brooklyn I think. Local stores only apply for barebones, so to get it fixed, pretty much you have to ship it.
