Mine's doing great. Had to RMA it once for a cold solder on the SATA cable that went bad but's been aces since. Fortunately, the SATA cable broke with a month still left on the warranty so I got it fixed for free. Just cost me shipping...
Sounds like the issues are on ATI's side. Too bad for us and them. Having one product dominate the market (nVidia) is not good for the consumer.
That's interesting. What was the nature of the problem? Was it a power or cooling issue?

The first DX10 chip on the near horizon is the nVidia G80 I think. Even though it's got more transitors than the 7900 it's a 80nm chip so it might use the same amount of power as the 7900 (which is a 90nm chip). Let's keep our fingers...

Not so sure about that. The high end, enthusiast market can generate some nice cash flow. That's why Dell bought Alienware.
