im having the same problem. I ended up reformatting and it fixed the problem, but that was a couple months ago and now its starting to do it again.... so im prob going to be reformatting again unless someone knows another way to fix it.
have you tried performance tests on other games? Even if its not supposed to give a boost in performance and it doesnt hurt the card i would be all for it. Even if it gives about equal performance in other games, if it gives a boost in...
Ya i have the same prob with the screen coming on when the lids closed. If anyone knows how to solve this i'd be interested.

ya, i guess their is that possibility. However if its around 70% success rate for the 1.7, im pretty sure that out of that other 30%, most are able to get it booted up. Im guessing above 90% are able to at least get their computer...
