Quick question. Does anyone else out there have problems with slow dvd/cd buring on their XPS 1730? Best i can seem to get is about 3-4x, it takes about 12-15minutes to burn a full DVD. At 8x it should take around 7...

either chip in slot A all tests pass

In the power setinngs under advanced i do not have the option to set my computer into standby any more when i close the lid.

yeah at the same time i done the original driver update, i updated the sound and chipset drivers. Is it possible that updating the chiipset drivers i have lost communication with the graphics card.

anyone out there have any ideas other than wiping it clean and starting again with a new windows install?
