Sorry for the delay in responding been away for a while...In my case my old 8600 Inspiron was having Motherboard as well as overheating issues and after 2 botched repair attempts Dell agreed to replace it...Thats when the trouble...

You are entitled to equal or better replacements in all catagories of your laptop replacement as per the agreement with Dell and complete care..they cannot give you integraded graphics to replace your older card...all parts and I mean...

I have to say that after 2 weeks of running Vita I have noticed no slowdowns at all, I find it quite a bit faster and smoother than my previous XP install, Nero issue was resolved with the latest update, ATI has issued the latest 7.2...

Please note you can use your upgrade version of Vista as a full version with the workaround , just Google it and you will see how simple it really is....it will save you some serious cash.....
