i tried turning down the brightness and contrast to 84 and it made the sparkle more apparent for me. it was a huge difference in brightness when you turned it down to 84, so even if it did have less sparkle i would not want to keep it...

its hard to capture with a camera, only thing you can get by taking a picture is the light leakage. sparkle looks like someone wiped the screen with a wet towel without the rainbow colors.

at work i've seen the past 2 models of the sony 17inch with wuxga and i have never seen sparkle or anything like this before. it makes me sad when i go to work because i see all the laptops with truebright, xbrite, true blah blah blah,...
