Actually, it sounds like both the Kingston KVR533D2S4/1G and the Simpletech SVM-42SDR2/1GB work fine in the 9300, given the few folks (Maklar and Illwafer) who have actually tried it.

You might want to go give Memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/) a try. The newest version seems to have support for the 915 series chipsets.
