Cheers I removed the heat sink and damn there was a lot of dust built up. I put the heatsink back in without applying new paste and my lappy is running great. Its amazing how much better she runs with open air flow!

I think I found the problem. When I use the command: "control userpasswords2" in the run function and bring up the user access, I originally had windows automatically log me in (skipping the welcome screen, box unchecked). But when I get windows to stop at the welcome screen (and enter a password or just click the user icon) eveything works fine...hmmm maybe windows just does not like it when I get it to do eveything (well about 50% of the time...it sure would be nice to...

If you remove the heatsink like shown in the above the pictures, can you simply put it back in or do you need to re-do the thermal paste...I would like to remove the heat sink to clean it but I dont have any thermal paste at the moment... Thanks

I have the Creative Audigy NX 2 and it has been great for me. The sound is much improved and I have experienced NO bass loss whatsoever. The only problem is that there are some bugs in the Creative Music Player thats provided, so I tend to stick with Musicmatch or Windows media. Overall its worth the 100 bucks. If you have anyother questions let me know.

Last year when I picked up my baby it cost $3600 USD inc. shipping and 3 year warrenty! So to anwser your question, no that its not too much money...anyway my baby is a year old and it still runs everything smooth as silk with no hick ups. with the specs you listed your comp will last a long time, and this this PCI talk, ya sure it will be better, but how...

I got my baby from a sager reseller in the US and it was harmless. Most companies these days consider Canada a 53rd state...the reseller i got mine from has a shipping option to canada which inculdes all brokage fees, so you dont get stuck with any unwanted bills when the UPS guys comes a knocking! I know PCTorque and Powernotebooks both ship to Canada, and as a matter of fact there is a thread on this forum dealing with shipping to Canada (started by...
