I have the same laptop with the same specs as you posted but I am not using the Dell video drivers. I am using the XtremeG MobileForce drivers and I can play EQ2 at 1900x1200 with no issues.

Ordered mine on the 8th and it's in transit now so sometime this week.

I just ordered my m170 but am not going to cancel. Personally the m1710 is to new to buy as no one has any reviews on it. I would wait a couple of months to see if there any issues with it.
