Just wanted to let everybody interested know that it appears that there is no "custom" power settings option. What helped a little, however, is changing the CPU option in the BIOS to Max. Performence when on battery. Thanks,

Hi Guys, Just came back from my two weeks vacation and all I got to say about the performance of my 505XL is "WOW"! I played Morrowind with full settings for 2.5 hours on the plane (on battery) without any slow down....

I have a noob question: While I know that on paper the Toshiba is faster (5400RPMs and 16MB Cache), what will I gain by getting this HD shiped to me to replace the Hitachi one? In other words, will I (a fairly average user) notice...
