The 4006 model comes with Windows XP x64 edition out of the box, so this "control applet" is not there.
Personally, I haven't had much trouble with XP's built in WiFi control.
But maybe that's just becuase I have never seen...

I took a look over Acer's site and couldn't find any download info for the EManager, let alone for x64.
I can't explain why, but one thing I've noticed about SpeedFan is that I have to have AMD's PowerNow! Dashboard running for SpeedFan to properly update it's tempurature reading.
