I'd like to point out that when it uses the video card, it draws extra power--my power brick makes a fan noise whenever I run the video card.

I've had this happen twice, but it was always when running it for a second time on that boot-up. Maybe you just had bad runs; I don't know.

I hope no one kills me for this, but Eurocom sells them with their equivalent (though you'll pay way more for it).

I actually started the big thing about DVD watching problems . It got on me at the beginning, but you won't notice it after a while, especially when you get into the movie.
