Urban Dreamer, you are mixing things up. There were 3 17" WUXGA screen types for the Dell XPS and some other series. 2 LG ones, and one Samsung. Almost all of the first type of LG's were replaced for Samsung ones on customers...

Eh, for layman's eyes: SATA means Serial ATA. Its either SATA or PATA (parallel). They are the things through which the harddisk communicates with the rest of the computer. SATA (new) is much faster than PATA (old). BUT it might be so...

I got a bright green hot pixel in the center of the, otherwise great, w3v screen. I am so depressed, it annoys the hell out of me, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I have a Booq Viper XM for my W3V. Fits snugly, but well. No problems and very happy with the sleeve quality.
