Kerio free personal firewall. I find it easy to configure, takes up very few resources, is small and reliable - and free in the basic version. A check of my ports using Shields Up (http://grc.com) showed all stealthed = hidden.
Check out this alternative reader: Foxit PDF Reader http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php less than 1MB, opens the pdf almost instantly, and it's free !
Can you run iTunes ? AFAIK it needs SSE3 and the Pentium M only has SSE2 ...
My 9300 did not recognize DVD+RW disks that worked on other computers. Dell sent a replacement drive (now a Sony) and the new drive could read them.

They also started to collect tax in home for the service contracts. This means you'll pay $10-$15 tax for a new laptop with the 1 year warranty.
Just a quick update after exchanging a few emails with Dell customer care: - all service contracts can be cancelled/refunded in the first 21 days after invoice date - $204 refund would leave me without any replacement warranty...
