I think i have that HDD problem,it sounds loud sometimes it scares me. Loud click.
Also when i type my mouse buttons move a little it sounds bad, i think they are loose, is this normal?

I can see where you say the 700m is to small. The computer is exteremly portable, while offering a nice display. I love the 700m because it is small and perfect for class. Its not bulky, when you take notes the laptop is directly infront...

I got the skooba case and it is awsome! It fits and charger and laptop with extended battery perfectly! Those little air pockets are amazing!
IT seems what you use the 700m for is what i use it for. I dont do any programming tho, as a student internet and typing are my main concerns. The specs you have are great just get the extended battery. Also pricing, i would wait a while...
