unified as in one shoe fits all. I just looked on intel's website and it looks like there's only an older version listed for the 945gm vs 965gm. but I believe the newer one would have the definitions as well.

if it's intel integrated graphics, goto intel's website and download the graphics driver. they may be unified now too for the newer models.

dead inverter or ccfl most likely. although, if it for sure comes on for 5 seconds each time you do it, then the ccfl is probably fine and it's the inverter or a transistor in it that's dead.

I don't know too much about the turions, but I think it goes something like: turion single core is about on par with dothan, although in many cases will require more frequency to keep up. it's less power efficient than dothan. turion...
